My Review:

I recently had the chance to review a Custom Acrylic Carrie Necklace in my choice of color and size.  I chose the 16" chain with my daughter, Savanna's name in silver mirror.  It arrived in a cute little mesh bag.

The first necklace I received was broken during shipping.  The company was very quick to ship out a replacement.  When it arrived, the chain had broke from the necklace.  I fixed this myself with a pair of pliers but the links bent very easily.  I think my daughter would break it in no time so I am going to replace the chain with a higher quality chain.  I love the name part of the necklace and would recommend it to anyone who wants a custom jewelry piece.  Check out the website or follow them on Facebook or Twitter.

My Review:

I recently had the chance to review a Prize Candle for the first time.  I was sent a Provence Lavender candle.  To be honest, I despise all things floral scented but this was a scent I could tolerate.  It has a nice fresh scent that filled the room quickly but wasn't overpowering.  I let it burn all day and finally I could see the prize packet tucked into the bottom side.

My kids were going crazy wanting to pick at it since it could be worth $5,000.  I finally got the pliers out and pulled it out.

There was a plastic capsule that contained a pretty ring and a piece of paper with a code on it.  I could go online and find out the value of my ring.  There was also a coupon code for my next purchase!

My Review:

I recently received a Rainbow Braid 2400 Piece Refill Pack to review.  My daughter has gone loom band crazy for the past several months and has made hundreds of these bracelets.  I even got started making them for awhile back around Christmas time when you couldn't even find the bands around here.  Everybody wanted bracelets so we started selling them online.  Now, I think every other little girl in the world is doing the same thing because they have hundreds too.  Everywhere I go I see kids with loom band bracelets on both wrists.  Even adults wear them!  It's a great hobby and actually fun for kids and adults to make them.  It can even be addicting...lol  There are so many different designs you can make and there are constantly new ones being invented.

Here's a few of the bracelets my daughter made with this kit...

My Review:

I recently had the chance to review a few items of my choice from Sitara Collections.  It was a tough decision to make because there are so many lovely items on the site that I would love to have.  There are so many unique and beautiful items that I have never seen before.  I finally settled on a few items and placed my order easily and quickly.  My package arrived quickly and each item was wrapped in red tissue paper.  My invoice was folded inside a pretty envelope.  I chose the following items...

 

 Sterling Silver Hoop Earrings (not currently available) - These earrings were handmade by Indian artisans and are absolutely beautiful.  I cannot believe how amazing they turned out to be and how much detail they have.  They are so shiny and will look great with any outfit. 

Tibetan Spa: Juniper Incense Gift Box ($19.95) - These incense have a fresh, woodsy scent.  They are handmade with self-binding herbs so there are no wooden sticks to pick up when they are done burning.  They fit perfectly into the ceramic Om Mani incense burner, which is handcarved with the sacred Tibetan mantra Om Mani Padme Hum (Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus).  Each stick is 4" long and is perfect for filling any room with scent or covering up any unwanted scents.

 

Sacred Mantra Incense (Set of 2 Boxes) ($14.95) - These incense sticks have a stronger woodsy scent and really fill the house with scent quickly.  Each box is decorated with the Tibetan sacred mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum and includes a gold burner.  Each stick is 8 1/2" long.

The only issue I have found with these is when they are done burning, I have to pick the end out with a needle.  It's not a big deal but I wish they would burn all the way down inside the burner.  Another thing is the ashes fall all around the burner instead of inside it.  There seems to be less ashes than regular incense though.  The scents do last a lot longer than cheap incense which is a BIG plus.

My Review:

 

I recently had the chance to review the October Project DIY collection.  It was based on Punk influences and contained three jewelry kits for me to make.  There were a Luxe Punk Collar Necklace, an Oversized Chain Pin, & a Spike Tassel Pendant kit included.

My kit also came with a starter kit.  This includes Needle Nose Plier, Wire Cutter, Chain Nose Plier, Jump Ring Opener, Assorted Clasps, Earring Hooks, Jump Rings, and Chain Extenders.  Right now, this is free with your first month's subscription!  It used to be a separate charge.  It came in very handy while I was making my jewelry so I was glad I had it.

 



The first piece I made was the Spike Tassel Pendant.  Everything came in it's own little box that I needed.  Everything except instructions, that is.  I had to go online to get directions on how to make all of the jewelry.  They were all simple step-by-step directions with pictures but I would prefer to have a printed off sheet in front of me. 

 

The necklace was fairly easy to make.  Even though it is not something I would normally wear, my daughter went crazy for it!  She wears it everywhere and has asked me to make more for her friends because they love it.

 

Next, I made the Luxe Punk Collar since it would take some time for the glue to dry.  Even though it looks tedious to make, it was very simple.

It turned out gorgeous and once again, my daughter stole it.  I will be wearing this one on occasion as well.

 



 

While the glue was drying, I made the Oversized Chain pin.  This one was very easy to make as well.

 

My daughter is wearing this on a vest and it looks great.  She first tried putting it on a shirt but the pin is so big, it left big holes in it.

I recently had the chance to review an item of my choice from Rustic Metal Creations.  I wanted a new mother's necklace because I lost mine a couple years ago.  I wanted to get my kids' names put on it so I chose the Rustic 3-tier Stacked Handstamped Layered Necklace (Hammered) necklace.  I ordered a 16" chain because I prefer my necklaces to be short.  I just sent in my kids' names.  Janie was my daughter that was stillborn, Savanna is the center piece, and Hunter is the largest piece because he is the oldest.  She added a cute little heart and pearl charm to the necklace and made it perfect.  It arrived in a zebra print bag and came wrapped in tissue paper.  It was already gift wrapped!  It also came with a sample polish cloth.

My Review:

I got the opportunity to review Ecowear jewelry that grows into grows into flowers, trees...I received a turtle necklace that will grow into wildflowers & a smiley bracelet that will grow into a white pine tree. 

I have been wearing the necklace as an ankle bracelet & several people have asked me what the significance of the turtle is.  I tell them that I am going to wear the 2 pieces of jewelry for awhile and when it warms up a little more, my kids & I are going to plant them.  I can't wait to watch my jewelry grow!  I think this company is awesome for coming up with this idea.  The jewelry would make a great gift for anyone & is such a unique idea.  Check out all the products available at www.futureoxygen.us/.

My Review: 

I received the pink Christian silicone  wristband shown above to review.   I was really impressed with the quality of it.  It is not like alot of the wristbands that I have seen that are very cheaply made.  It is very durable & doesn't have untrimmed silicone that cut into my wrist.  It has "I am a Woman of God" embedded in a 100% recycled silicone Eco-Band.  It also has the Christian Woman logo on it.  It is a very nice bracelet that starts at $ .75 & several colors are available.  Check them out at  http://www.iamawomanofgod.com/wristbands.
