I recently received a Hango Lunch Box Set to review.  I received the black set which is my favorite color (yay!)  They arrived in a nice tote bag.  They kind of look like cosmetic bags but are really stylish lunch totes.  I think they are cute.  At first, I thought the lining was pretty thin. After filling one up with food and an ice pack, it stayed cool for several hours.  I'm impressed with how well they work.  I really like having the smaller one available for having snacks on the go.  These would have been perfect when the kids were babies to carry their bottles and baby food.  I would definitely recommend Hango to anyone who wants a stylish lunch box set that keeps things cool.  You can purchase it HERE on Amazon.

I recently had the chance to review a Magnetic Screen Door by Quality Source Products.  I wanted this screen for my basement door which is one of those sliding doors.  We are going in and out of it all summer because our pool is right by the walkout that this door leads to.  The door is difficult to open and close so when one of the kids runs in to go to the bathroom, they leave it open.  It drives me crazy!  Not only are they letting flies in, but they are risking letting my indoor cat out.  I have a mesh door upstairs and she is scared to death of it.  After installing this door quickly and easily, I am ready for summer!  It fits perfectly and closes tightly after someone (or a dog) goes through it.  Sometimes it needs a little help to get the magnets lined back up but for the most part, it works great.  It is still a little too cold here to leave the door open but we will be using it soon enough.  I would recommend this screen to anyone who needs a mesh door of this size.  You can purchase it HERE on Amazon.

Don't fight with heavy hoses anymore! Get an Expandable Hose from Quality Source Products (Review)

 

Quality Source Products expandable hose starts out at 33 Feet, hook it up to water pressure and it will grow to 100 Feet. When finished allow the water to drain from the hose and it will return to 33 feet for easy storage.  It is very lightweight, kink free, & tangle free.  Forget about lugging around that heavy traditional 100 foot hose and storing it year round. When not in use this hose can be stored in a small bucket or on a shelf.  This expandable hose is very strong with 100 PSI working pressure and 300-PSI burst pressure. You will not be disappointed.

I recently had the chance to review an expandable hose by Quality Source.  I was really shocked at how light it was when it arrived.  I took advantage of the first warm day here in Indiana to try it out by washing my new truck.  It hooked up easily and built up pressure quickly.  It has a shut-off valve on the end so you can adjust how much water comes out.  It is a pretty small hose in diameter so it didn't create a lot of pressure but it did work good to wash my truck.  I loved how light it was to pull around and think it will work great to water my roses this spring.  After I was done, I just unhooked it from the house and it sprang back to the normal size as the water ran out.  I would recommend this hose to anyone who doesn't want to fight with heavy hoses anymore.  You can purchase it HERE on Amazon.

I recently had the chance to review a customizable photo blanket from Collage.  I was able to choose any photo(s) and create my blanket easily online.  I chose these three photos that I took of my kids last fall.  I cherish the biggest picture because it was one of those rare moments that they allowed me to take their picture together without making silly faces.  It's one of my favorite pictures of them together so I wanted to get something special made with it.

 



I knew a photo blanket would be perfect for this.  The site was easy to navigate and it only took a few minutes to create my blanket.  I could change the color of my photos and the borders.  I could even add words if I wanted to!  There are lots of customization options to use if you wish.  I chose the simple black and white photos without any writing and I just love it!  The blanket is solid white on the back.  It is 50" X 60" and as you can see in the top photo, it is not large enough to cover a queen size bed.  It is the perfect size for lounging around or laying across a couch.  It would also make a nice wall hanging if you did not want to use it.  I think it would make a perfect gift idea for anyone.  Check out the website or follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or Instagram.

My Review:

I recently had the chance to review three products by Leather Nova.  They sent me their Leather Cleaner, Leather Conditioner, & Conditioner & Cleaner.  Even though I have several leather items at home, I mainly wanted to try these products on the seats of my new Tahoe.  I just got it a few weeks ago and it is the first vehicle I have ever had with leather seats.  This truck is my baby and I want to do everything I possibly can to protect it inside and out.  Even though my seats weren't really dirty, I still tried it out.  First, I used the Leather Cleaner first and sprayed it on the included microfiber towel.  I wiped the seats down.  My seats looked great already!  I did notice the towel left little pieces behind but hopefully this will go away after it is washed.  Next, I applied the Leather Conditioner and left it on for an hour.  Then I buffed it away.  I did this on the two front seats and you could tell a difference from the back seats.  For the back seats, I used the Conditioner & Cleaner.  I just applied it with the included pad and allowed it to dry for thirty minutes.  After that, I buffed it out.  All of my seats looked amazing, clean, and restored.  I know it is very hard to show shiny black leather in photos but here are my before and after pictures of my seat...

Trust me, the photos do not show justice to what this stuff can do!  I would highly recommend Leather Nova to anyone who wants to clean and restore their leather products.  Check out the website or follow them on Facebook.

I recently had the chance to review a NanoRazor knife.  The knife arrived in a nice box with a free peeler.  They were both molded perfectly in foam so they could easily be stored away for safety.  The first thing I used the knife for was peeling potatoes.  It worked great and is extremely sharp.  I actually cut my thumb because I wasn't used to using such a sharp knife.  I decided to try the peeler while I was peeling.  It got the job done but not as quickly as the knife.  The peeler is not near as sharp either.  Next, I tried peeling apples with both items.  They both worked great again!  The peeler worked much better on apples because of the softer skin.  This is the first ceramic knife I have ever used and am glad to add it to my kitchen.  It is easy to hold onto and fits my hand nicely.  I would highly recommend this knife to anyone who wants a sharp, quality kitchen knife.  You can find out more about it at Savvy Living.

I recently had the chance to review a set of InsideSmarts Luxury Wash Bags.  I have been trying to find a way to prolong the life of my bras but they tend to get ruined in the washer too quickly.  I always hang them to dry but the washing machine is just too hard on them because they get tangled up with everything.  After receiving these bags, I have been able to add life to my bras because they come out of the washer tangle free.  They can no longer get hooked on lacey clothing or my frayed jeans!  I usually place 2-3 bras in the bag at a time and it works perfectly.

My Review:

I recently had the chance to review a Premium 3 piece Towel set by e Luxury Supply.  I chose black because it matches my animal print bathroom.  When the towels arrived, I couldn't believe how heavy the box was.  When I opened them, they were huge!  They are thick, heavy, and super soft.

Here is the hand towel on a regular towel rack.  It could almost be used as a bath towel because it is so big!  I am very picky about the towels and wash cloths I buy and have never seen any this thick, absorbent, and durable.  I have washed and dried these several times and they have not faded a bit.  I absolutely love this towel set and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a great gift idea or an awesome towel set for them self.  You can purchase it on Amazon HERE.

 My Review:

I recently had the chance to review a set of Old Factory Candles of my choice.  I was given an Amazon code and asked to get the gift wrap option.  I chose the Fall Harvest Set because it had all the scents that I would normally buy for my home.  When it arrived, I was less than impressed with the gift wrapping.  Not to sound too harsh, but it looked like my kid wrapped it and put a cheap paper card on top.  Not to mention, it got beat up and scraped in the box that had inadequate packing inside.  Needless to say, I would not want to present it as a gift as it came and would not purchase Amazon gift wrapping for this item.

Now the candles, I can highly recommend!  They are each only two inches tall but they smell wonderful!  They seem to burn forever and fill the entire room full of scent.  Literally, within two minutes of lighting the first candle my whole living room was scented.  I have a big house so this was impressive.  When people come to my house when the Pumpkin Spice candle has been burning, they ask me if I am making a Pumpkin Pie.  I love all of the scents and would buy more.  They make great gift ideas as well.

Summer is here and it is time to make lots of dishes with fresh fruit.  But the fruit goes bad too quickly in a regular bowl if you don't eat it right away, right?  Not anymore!  Now there is a brand new product called the PRO FRESHionals Cut Fruit Bowl that keeps fruit fresh by separating it from it's juices.  It is a three piece bowl that is big enough to hold an entire watermelon!  It is exclusively available at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

 

 I used this bowl to make my family's favorite recipe... Rockin Grape Salad.  It is always requested at family dinners and parties and is always a HUGE hit.

  

Rockin Grape Salad Recipe

Ingredients:

Approx. 6 pounds of seedless grapes (any variety)

16 oz. Cream Cheese (softened)

16 oz. Sour Cream

1 1/2 C. White Sugar

1/2 C. Brown Sugar

1 Can Pineapple Tidbits (drained of juice)

1 C. Chopped Pecans

Directions:

1.Wash grapes (I used the inside bowl as a colander for this step)

2. Blend cream cheese, sour cream, and sugars with mixer until smooth. (I used the outer bowl for this step)

3. Add pineapple and pecans.

4. Gently fold in the grapes.  You can add more or less, depending how much sweetness you like.  This stuff is amazing!

If I make too much at home, the pineapple juice makes it watery after a day or two so this bowl is perfect for this recipe.  The juice drains out and all the creamy stuff stays on the grapes!  I kept this fresh for four days before it was gone and the pineapple did not discolor or water it down.
This bowl is a lifesaver for fresh fruits and I can't wait to try it on all of my fruit dishes!  Look for it only at Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

Mama's Toy Box

Check out all the awesome Good Cook items I have in my drawer!  I call it "Mama's Toy Box" because I always told my kids that my kitchen tools were mama's toys and they weren't allowed to play with them.  There are so many goodies I can make because I chose such a diverse selection of items.  I have used all of the items in my drawer and love them all.  One of signature recipes I made with several of these items was Rockin Cowboy Cookies.

Recipe:

Ingredients:
1 C. Shortening
1 C. White Sugar
1 C. Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 C. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 C. Chips any flavor (I used 1/2 cup white & 1/2 c. butterscotch)

1. Cream shortening and sugars.
2. Add eggs and vanilla.
3. Beat with whisk.
4. Stir in dry ingredients.
5. Add oats and chips.
6. Mix well.
7. Drop on baking sheets.
8. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

Makes 3 dozen large cookies. 

Here's what I chose:

All Purpose Clips, 4 pack - These clips are nice because they are magnetic so I can stick them to the fridge.  I always know where they are when I need one.  I can clip up my recipe card to have it off the counter to save room.  They clip tightly to seal chip bags or I can hang the kids' pictures or notes from them. 

"Measure From Above" 3 Piece Measuring Set - This three piece set includes a four cup, two cup, and a one cup with measurements on the inside and outside.  It makes it nice to be able to measure from above instead of leaning down and trying to read the side of a measuring cup.  The extra large cup size is very nice for big recipes.

 

Measuring Spoons, 6 pc. - These stack together in the drawer nicely and range from 1/8 of a teaspoon up to one tablespoon. There was one for each of the measurements I needed for my recipe.

Prep Bowl Set, 5 pc. - These plastic bowls are super cute and perfect for measuring out ingredients ahead of time.  My daughter has a bad habit of dragging everything out of my cabinets and drawers when she's baking.  I never have any counter space because of it and it drives me crazy having such a mess!  They range from 1/4 to 2 cups in size.  These were really nice to mix all the small amounts of ingredients like soda, salt, and powder into one small bowl ahead of time to save room.

Cast Ice Cream Scoop - This is the perfect ice cream scoop or cookie maker.  It is virtually impossible to break so it can dip the hardest ice cream with ease.  This made the perfect sized cookies for my recipe.

Silicone Whisk, 10", Red - I love this whisk because it doesn't scrape my pans up like the metal whisks do.  I use it for beating eggs, pancake mix, and many other things.  It worked great for this recipe for creaming the sugar and shortening without getting the mixer out.

Touch Stainless Steel Slotted Spoon - This heavy duty spoon is very durable and withstands anything I have put it to the test.  It stirs the hardest doughs without bending and the rubberized grip keeps my hand from getting sore.  When my dough got thick, this was the perfect spoon.  If I hadn't had a heavy duty spoon, I would be kneading the dough with my hands.

Touch Stainless Steel Turner - This turner is great for removing cookies from the sheets and for flipping burgers.  It is very durable and has a rubberized grip.

  

Stuffed Burger Press - This was so easy and fun to use.  I stuffed our burgers with shredded cheddar cheese and also tried it with mushrooms and swiss.  I found they hold together best if you don't use a lot of "stuffing".  It also works great to make perfectly shaped burgers that are all the same size, even if you don't want anything in them.  It cleans up nicely.

Meat Thermometer - This thermometer has a silicone head that does not slip out of my hand when I check the meat's temperature.  We deep fry a lot of turkeys and it is always hard to determine when they are done unless you have a thermometer.  We always cut them open before and just checked to see if they were pink.  Now I know if it is done without tearing it apart.

Silicone Basting Brush, 8.5" - This brush looks too simple to work but it works like a dream for basting barbecue chicken.  I always used a spoon before to dip my sauce up on the chicken.  This little tool makes it easier to get in between the pieces.

Egg Separator - I also received one of these in part one of this event.  I didn't know I was getting one but I love it!  It sits right on the rim of the bowl while I crack my eggs in.  No more flip-flopping with messy eggshells for me!

 Large Nylon Turner - This turner is perfect for pancakes because it has an extra wide surface.  It is not flimsy like many nylon products.

Medium Nylon Turner, Black - This turner is perfect for eggs and has a comfortable grip handle.  It has a thin surface to get underneath the food I am flipping.

Stir Sticks, 22 count - These sticks are great for mixing cocktails.  I hate seeing people stick their fingers in their glass to stir their ice cubes around!  When we have a get together I always have these sitting out so they can grab one.
