My Cadbury 'High Tea' Ice Cream Party was awesome!

I was recently chosen to host a Cadbury 'High Tea' party with my daughter.  I thought it would be the perfect time since she was having a birthday party in the same time frame but we only got half of the party kit in time for her party.  We decided to have our party on one of our camping trips at a campground where a lot of her friends go.  The weekend was perfect because it was very hot.  After we rounded everyone up, we had all the girls choose a super cute hat that came in the party kit.  Thankfully, there was a nice color selection so there was no fighting.  They could match them up with what they were wearing and it all went smoothly.

Next, we poured "tea" in our tiny teacups that came in the kit.  I made my world famous punch for this (see recipe below).  Then we munched on tiny sandwiches and fruit cups.  Finally, I brought out what everyone was waiting for...the Cadbury Blue Bunny ice cream!  They sent us four boxes to try.  There was one box of each of the snack size Caramello, Vanilla Chocolate, English Toffee, & Royal Dark.  Of course all the girls wanted the Caramello first but then they tried the rest.  The moms just took what was left.  I also received coupons to share with the moms.

  • Cadbury® Royal Dark™: Creamy Blue Bunny reduced fat vanilla ice cream dipped in thick, rich Cadbury Royal Dark chocolaty coating
  • Cadbury® English Toffee: Creamy Blue Bunny reduced fat toffee ice cream dipped in thick, rich Cadbury milk chocolaty coating with toffee pieces
  • Cadbury® Caramello™: Creamy Blue Bunny Reduced fat vanilla ice cream swirled with caramel sauce all dipped in thick, rich Cadbury milk chocolaty coating
  • Cadbury® Vanilla Chocolate: Creamy Blue Bunny reduced fat vanilla ice cream dipped in thick, rich Cadbury milk chocolaty coating
After we came back home, I had to go buy more ice cream bars!  My kids both love them!  I love the fact that they are reduced fat and the size is perfect for snacking.  I would definitely recommend Cadbury to anyone who wants a great tasting, high quality ice cream bar.

My "Spring In Your Step" Moms Meet-Up Party

It's hard being a mom! Everyone depends on us to keep things safe and tidy around the house.  But, do you ever take time to maintain yourself?

I recently hosted a "Spring in Your Step" Mom Meet-Up Party hosted by Children's Claritin.  They sent me materials for a few friends to get together and learn how to get renewed and revitalized.  Included were:

5 head/sinus packs
2 boxes of Children's Claritin
5 Preparedness Checklist & Tips Sheets
Party ideas including exercise sessions, cooking sessions, recipe ideas, pampering sessions including homemade beauty regimes, and how to create your Zen moment.

I used all of the ideas in the packet for my party and the girls all had fun learning how to have more "me" time.  The Claritin was used for door prizes and each guest received a checklist & headband.  Thank you Claritin for teaching us a few more tips!

My Fast Metabolism Diet House Party was a hit!

Last night, I hosted a Fast Metabolism Diet "Make and Take" party in my home.  It was sponsored by Random House and the kit was provided by MommyParties.  Haylie Pomroy has helped thousands of people lose up to twenty pounds in just four weeks- all through the fat-burning power of food.  On this new diet, you actually eat alot.  You just change the way you eat.

My kit included the following:

11 copies of Haylie Pomroy's Book The Fast Metabolism Diet
Crock-Pot slow cooker
$20 Target gift card to buy supplies
Free product coupons for Applegate
Celestial Seasonings Teas
Artisana Cashew Butter
Applegate Tote bag
Recipe Cards
Coupons
I love Meat pins & sticker

The picture above shows what all of my guests got to take home and the other items were used as prizes for the games we played.

I used the Crock-Pot to make my world famous Cheeseburger dip even though there are tons of recipes in the book that sound delicious.  I also made Haylie's Watermelon Smoothie recipe which is really easy and yummy.

Watermelon Smoothie

1/2 cup watermelon cubes
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 drops peppermint extract
1 mint leaf

1. Freeze watermelon.
2. Blend watermelon cubes in blender with lime juice and peppermint extract.
3. Garnish with mint leaf.

Everyone really loved this and it's super healthy!  We always waste alot of watermelon because nobody can eat it all.  Now I know what to do with it.

I know my friends and I are excited to try this awesome new diet out and I hope to be sharing our results soon!

My Littlest Pet Shop House Party

Last week, I hosted a Littlest Pet Shop Viewing Party in my home for my daughter and her friends.  My party kit included a Screener DVD with 2 episodes of The Littlest Pet Shop, 10 hairbrushes, 10 chapsticks, 10 masks, & themed recipe and game ideas.

The girls all really enjoyed the DVD.  My daughter is a huge Pet Shop fan so it didn't take much to settle her down to watch it with her friends.  Our party went pretty quick since we were getting ready to leave for vacation soon after.  I only made one recipe that was included in my kit but it was a HUGE hit.  It is so simple and every kid loved it.  I will share it with you...

Chocolate Popcorn

1 bag of popcorn
1 cup of chocolate chips

Instructions:
1. Prepare popcorn in microwave according to instructions on bag.
2. Once popped, pour into large bowl.
3. While popcorn is still hot, pour chocolate chips over top and mix in.  The chips will melt from the warm popcorn.

I forgot to get a group picture since it was such a hectic day.  The picture above is my daughter showing what each guest got to take home.  Overall, it was a huge success and everyone loved their goodies.  I didn't hear any complaints and we will be looking forward to more episodes of The Littlest Pet Shop on The Hub!

My R.L. Stine's "Haunting Hour" House Party

Saturday night, I hosted an R.L. Stine's "Haunting Hour" party in my home.  This awesome event was sponsored by MommyParties and The Hub.  I was able to invite ten children over to view R.L. Stine's "Grampires" 1 & 2 on DVD.  Each episode was a half hour each.
"Grampires" follows two kids as they pay a visit to their grandfather in his creepy new Sunset Estates retirement community, only to discover that something is not quite right with Grandpa and his nocturnal neighbors.  It eventually leads to a showdown at the bingo hall with an entire community of vampires.

Each child at the party received:

 Team Grampire T-shirt
Glow-in-the-dark Vampire teeth
Hub slap band
I Brake For Grampires! bumper sticker

I had my party right after trick-or-treating so everyone was all wound up and had lots of sugar.  Some of the kids sat through both of the episodes and some were back and forth.  They all really liked them.  My kids are huge fans of R.L. Stine books and this will be no exception, I'm sure.  Check out more info about the Haunting Hour HERE.

It was a spooky night overall at my house.  Check out the orbs floating in the group pictures....

My Hearts For Hearts Girls Party

I was recently selected to host a Hearts For Hearts Girls Party for ten girls and their moms.  My party kit included two beautiful dolls, one for my daughter and one to be given away at the party.  It also included twenty bracelets, coupons, info flyers, recipes, & activity ideas.

Each child recieved 2 bracelets, one for themselves and one to give to a friend that wasn't at the party, and a $5.00 off coupon for a Hearts For Hearts Girls Doll.  They also got a Passport flyer that introduced them to all of the dolls and taught them to say hello in many languages.

My kit included the dolls Lilian & Zelia.  My daughter chose Lilian from Belarus because she has blonde hair and looks like her.  She even has blue eyes and pierced ears like her.  She quickly became her favorite doll and she takes her everywhere.

The doll that was given away was Zelia from Brazil.  She had brown hair and brown eyes and beautiful as well.  Everyone at the party wanted her.  We put all of the girls' names in a can and drew the winner at the end.  There were some girls who left mad but one little girl left very happy!

I made use of one of the recipes and it was a HUGE hit.  I thought I would share it with you...

Ethiopian Party Punch
Ingredients:
-1 cup orange juice
-1 cup lemon juice
-1 cup pineapple juice
-2 cups white grape juice
-1 cup raspberry flavored syrup
-2 1/2 quarts club soda
-fresh mint leaves, to garnish

Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients in the order given in a large punch bowl.
2. Garnish with mint leaves.
3. Serve chilled.

Overall, my party was a big success and alot of fun for everyone involved.  Several of the moms did not want their children posted on the internet so I decided not to post any of their pictures to be fair.  I know some little that are getting the dolls for Christmas gifts from what the attending moms said.  My daughter has already put several of them on her list.  I would definitely recommend these dolls to anyone who has a doll loving girl in their life.  Check them out at www.hearts4heartsgirls.com/.

Gutzy Gear Review & House Party Details

What is Gutzy Gear?

Gutzy Gear is a new and unique way for kids to express themselves by transforming a simple backpack into their own statement-making personality pack! The Gutzy Gear strap covers fit around just about any type of backpack, messenger bag, or rolling bag. But the creativity really begins with the super fun and totally custom line of patches called "Gutzies" that kids use to decorate their straps. Because they are removable with a simple tug, and require no sewing or ironing, Gutzies are meant to be swapped, traded, and shared between friends, for a custom look anytime that's as endless as your child's imagination.

My Party

My kids were delighted when they found out we would be hosting a Gutzy Gear party!  They got to invite thirteen friends because I received enough Gutzy Gear materials for fifteen kids.

Each child received a package of 2 Gutzy Gear Patches, Strap Covers, and a promotional flier to receive another free rare Gutzy.  I received several themed games in my party pack that we played during the party that determined how each child got to choose their Gutzy.  Everyone was satisfied with their choices and loved them.  There was enough selection for 15 kids to all be happy and I was very pleased for everything to go smoothly.  Several moms did not want their children posted on the internet so I decided not to post pictures of any of them for this party to be fair.  I know the moms loved the idea of Gutzy Gear and will be buying more.

My Review

Gutzy Gear is so easy to use.  The patches are easily applied to the straps by velcro stay on securely.  The straps attached to any book bag that we had here easily, also by velcro.  My daughter's Gutzy Straps are shown in the top picture.  She chose the pack that included "Man's Best Friend" (07) & "Puppy Power (08) because she loves dogs.  Also, the paw looks like a panther print, which is our school mascot.  It is also neat because the school colors are red and black, just like the patch.  We got an extra pack for hosting the party so she picked out "Rock On" (35) & "Strumming Along" (36) because she wants to be a rockstar.  She loved putting them together and showing her friends at school.  She said everyone asks her where she got them.  There are a few she saw on the package that she is wanting but we haven't seen in the store yet.  I would recommend Gutzy Gear to anyone with kids who love to jazz up their backpacks.  Check them out at www.gutzygear.com.

Back in May, I hosted a Healthy Child Party and the picture above is what I received in my party kit.  It was a HUGE box full size products, samples, coupons, literature, and goodie bags to share with my guests.  Everything is eco-friendly & mommy related.  They sent enough stuff for 15 guests plus extras of some items.  The full sized items could be used for giveaways at my party or I could keep them for myself.  All of this cost me a tax deductible donation of $25.00 but was well worth it.  I just found out that they have opened this up again and are looking for party hosts again!

What if you could host a party that would change the world? Since 2009, more than 4,000 hosts have used the Healthy Child Party Kit to educate friends, family and co-workers about protecting our most valuable resource: our children.

My "Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters" Viewing Party

Last week, I hosted a "Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters" viewing party in my home.  I allowed my son to invite some friends and we had a total of 7 boys plus my daughter at the viewing.

DVD Screener that included a short recap of episode 1 and full-length versions of episodes 2 & 3

Kaijudo Media Disk

1 Kaijudo Poster (that got smashed thanks to the UPS guy)

10 Kaijudo headbands

Plus a variety of party themed games, activities, & recipe ideas

The boys all had a blast and said they liked the episodes.  I personally didn't watch most of them because of the younger children running around.  I recommend that anyone with a son to check out Kaijudo.
