Ugglebo Clogs is the Swedish Clog company that focuses on providing the most beautiful traditional Swedish clogs, high-fashion clogs and clog boots for women in the footwear industry. We started making wood clogs during the 1960’s and 70’s when fashion was reaching new heights that were never before seen and we’ve stayed true to the evolving fashion trends in the years to follow! Our company and brand was founded in 1965 by master clog maker, Sven Carlsson. During his youth, Sven began making clogs for the largest and most venerable clog making company in Sweden, Sandgrens Clogs. After years of working for Sandgrens, Sven decided to take his knowledge of crafting comfortable clogs for women and men to incorporate these techniques with the latest fashion trends, and thus Ugglebo Clogs was born. Just a few years later Sven’s son Christer joined the team and he continues as head clog master to this day in same factory where Ugglebo Clogs have been made in since 1965.

My Review

I recently had the opportunity to review a pair of Ugglebo Clogs of my choice.  It was an extremely difficult decision because they are all so cute!  I finally settled on the Rio Grande Special Clogs in Black.  They are mules that come on a medium-heel Alderwood base with luxurious traditional leather and a unique wrist strap. The leather is fastened with staples, providing these Swedish clogs with a classic look.  They came packaged up with a cute leather Ugglebo shoe keychain tied to it.

I ordered a size 39, which is a U.S. size 8.5-9, because my shoe size varies between an 8 an 8.5.  These seem to run small and were a little tight at first.  I wore them non-stop for a few days and they did stretch out a bit.  I know for future reference to go up a size.  They are still super cute and I get lots of comments on them every time I wear them.  You can buy these same shoes HERE for $169.00.  Nobody thinks wooden shoes would be comfortable but they really are!  I have fallen in love with these shoes and can't wait to fill my closet with more.  I highly recommend them to any shoe lover.  Check them all out at www.uggleboclogs.com.
